Hello students!
As you now know, my name is Ms. Vanessa Cordero and I am your Chemistry Teacher. Here is a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Homestead, Florida. I attended Air Base Elementary, Herbert A. Ammons Middle School, and Coral Reef Senior High School.
After graduating, I decided to save some money and stay in Miami. I finished my A.A. at Miami Dade College and moved to Colorado State University to finish my Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences for Veterinary Medicine.
During my time there, I was a Biology and Chemistry tutor in which I decided to change my major to education. I moved back to Miami and finished my education degree back at Miami Dade College and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Some fun facts about myself, I have 2 beautiful dogs; Mimi (Bichon Frise) and Sasha (Dachshund/Min Pin mix). My favorite color is green, and my favorite animal of ALL time is the elephant.
I am super excited to be your teacher this year and if there is every anything you want to know about school, science, or life in general please do not hesitate to ask!
